Steve Carell Biography

Steve Carell (born Steven John Carell) is a renowned American actor, writer, producer, director, and comedian who had his debut in television and movies in the early 1990s.

He started getting recognition for his work on The Dana Carvey Show and in 1999 he joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Carell has received numerous awards for his performances in both film and television, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy for his work on The Office.

He was also recognized as “America’s Funniest Man” by Life Magazine.

Steve landed his breakthrough role as the comical boss in the American version of The Office and enjoyed major box-office success as Andy Stitzer in The 40-Year-Old Virgin.

He was later nominated for an Oscar award in the 2014 film Foxcatcher as John du Pont, followed by roles in Minions, Freeheld, The Big Short and Battle of the Sexes, earning Golden Globe nominations for the latter
